Jax Oleum Maintenance Oil is designed for the annual upkeep of wood already treated with Jax Oleum Single Coat oil-based Wood Stain. Applied once a year, or whenever your surface looks dry, it replenishes the natural oil in the wood, extending its lifespan and maintaining colour and protection against moisture and everyday wear – both indoors and outdoors.

Simple to apply – same process as the original

Maintenance is easier than most people expect. Apply with a clean cloth using a circular motion or along the grain, allow to penetrate for a few minutes, then wipe off the excess and allow to dry. The same simple process as the original Jax Oleum application – no sanding, no stripping, no specialist equipment required.

Choose the right shade for your wood

Maintenance Oil is available in four variants, each matched to your existing Jax Oleum stain colour:

  • Maintenance White – ideal for wood previously treated with Jax Oleum White or any light-coloured stain, keeping the tone bright and protected
  • Maintenance Grey – formulated for wood treated with light grey shades such as Cloud Grey
  • Maintenance Brown – suited to wood treated with brown tones such as Pecan or Mahogany
  • Maintenance Clear – recommended for all darker Jax Oleum shades, providing protection without altering the existing colour

Application Instructions

Lightly buff the surface you doing the maintenance on and remove all excess dust.
Apply the Jax Oleum directly onto the wood or onto your rag and rub it into the wood. Once evenly spread over the wood, remove any excess maintenance oil.
